Sushant Singh Rajput And His Majestic Dreams

Sushant Singh Rajput, the name that had gained such a huge popularity and love from the audience, is no more. The man who had the most purest heart and one of the brightest minds in Bollywood has left us in a terrible state of mind. He had so much hidden in him which was yet to be displayed, but a tragic end is what was written. He was an inspiration for so many youths and artists who try and work hard to achieve their goal. It's just not fair what he's done to himself.

His journey was an inspirational one. He was born on 21st January 1986 in Patna, Bihar. He was ranked in the DCE Entrance Exam. He secured admission in Mechanical Engineering at Delhi College Of Engineering. Simultaneously he joined Shiamak Davar's dance classes and was a part of the dance troupe which performed at the 51st Filmfare awards. He also joined Barry John's drama class. Apparently he wasn't focusing much on studies, so opted out of the course in 3rd year. He was successful at dance and drama class and decided to pursue the same.

Sushant then decided to pursue his career in acting and moved to Mumbai where he joined Nadira Babbar's 'Ekjute' theater group. He was a part of the group for almost two years. During his time Casting Directors from Balaji Telefilms saw him on stage and called him for an audition and he was successful there. He got the role of Preet Juneja in Star Plus's 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil'. Later he was a part of Zee TV's 'Pavitra Rishta' which proved to be one of the most successful projects of his entire career.

After his successful venture in the TV Industry, Sushant auditioned for Abishek Kapoor's Kai Po Che!, and was chosen as one of the three lead roles. Kai Po Che! released in 2013 and proved out to be a success. All critics were overwhelmed with his performance along with Amit Sadh and Rajkummar Rao.

This was his look from the film. His level of confidence and talent was seen in his performance and many critics personally praised him. Rajeev Masand wrote "...it's Sushant Singh Rajput, making his film debut as Ishaan, who it's hard to take your eyes off. The actor has an indescribable presence and it's clear from his confidence and distinct likability that a star is born." He the acted in many film like Shuddh Desi Romance, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, M S Dhoni The Untold Story, Raabta, Sonchiriya, Kedarnath, Chhichhore, Drive. His new film Dil Bechara was slated to be released in May 2020, but was cancelled due to the pandemic.

All the films, that Sushant has acted in, were good films. His acting, the story of the film, collection of movies at Box Office were all fluent, yet he hadn't won as many awards as he should have. His performance in M S Dhoni biopic was praised all over the world. The applauds coming in were so many, that a foreign media had put up Sushant's photo by mistake and captioned it 'Happy Birthday M S Dhoni'. People were so convinced by his acting that they were actually believing Sushant to be Dhoni.

Chhichhore and Kedarnath were two of the most beautiful films, yet the films weren't awarded anything in the Filmfare and IIFA awards, which shows how shallow and cheap Bollywood Industry is. Sonchiriya was a film which deserved so much praise, but there isn't a place for content based cinema in Bollywood. While the immature, baseless storied films like Dhadak, Student Of The Year 2, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Sultan, Kalank receive awards in a mass.

Many Bollywood's big personalities are accused of ruthless behavior, unprofessional ethics, mental tortures and what not, still the media is praising those people and people are blindly following them. Sushant is one among them who was tortured and ill-treated. So many talented artists like Kangana Ranaut, Manoj Bajpayee, Divya Dutta, Zaira Wasim who have won the prestigious National Film Awards and Radhika Apte who was nominated for Best Actress at Emmy's are segregated from the mainstream roles in Bollywood cinema. Why aren't these people who have won the National Awards, not being awarded Filmfare and IIFA awards? Because all the awards are distributed among the top personalities of Bollywood may their performance be the best one or the worst one. This clearly shows the people from outside the industry, who have no Godfathers are treated differently where they are made to feel left apart.

Apart from films Sushant was very active and innocent in his personal life. He was a very down to earth personality. This can be justified by his IG account where he not only follows his professional colleagues but also his fans. He follows more than 6000 people on Instagram including his fans. While most of the Bollywood stars don't even bother to check over their fan pages, Sushant did a regular chat with their fans in comment section. He had made a bucket list of 150 Dreams which he wished to achieve. These dreams include 'getting a flying license', 'clicking a selfie with Robert Downey Jr in Iron Man Suit', 'sending 100 youths to NASA or ISRO's workshops' and what not.

Sushant's death has left us all in shock. And it's high time we realize that these big Bollywood personalities are not just taking us for granted but also the artist's who've no background in the film industry. Sushant's death is a wake up call for all the blind followers of these arrogant personalities who think that they rule Bollywood. Bollywood doesn't drive us, we drive Bollywood.
