Thappad- Movie reviews and applauds

Thappad, the new, fresh, original, thought-provoking movie which stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead is receiving loads of love from the critics as well as the media. The story is about a housewife who faced domestic violence and couldn't just compromise with it. So she decides to walk out of the marriage which she felt was relevant enough. After thinking about it for some days she finally consults a legal adviser and continues with legal proceedings against her husband. The thing which irritated her till the end was that her husband never actually apologized for what he did. He would just neglect the incident as it was not a big deal for him. But at the end he actually realizes this and apologize.

Taapsee Pannu has just excelled her level of acting with this film. Pavail Gulati who enacts Taapsee's husband has played exceptionally well without a slight hint of him not being a renowned actor. Anubhav Sinha the director of the film has again created a masterpiece which hits against section of the society which asks women to compromise against the domestic violence. His previous works like Mulk and Article 15 have gained quite a lot name for him as one of the best socially driven content based cinema maker in India.

Prominent Bollywood movie reviewer Taran Adarsh has rated 4/5 stars and has given a very positive response commenting "POWERFUL" after screening. Anupama Chopra from Film Companion has also rated 4/5 stars with a lot of applauds to cast, crew and especially the director. NDTV, India Today and other prominent new channel also have responded positively towards the movie calling it socially apt. On an average the film hasn't got any negative response until yet and the public reviews are also out. So if there's a plan of a movie outing this weekend you could undoubtedly go for Thappad and you wouldn't be disappointed.
